TronXY X5SA E3D V6 (Clone) with 5015 Fan Mount
thingiverse
EDIT4: I've been informed that the clone I used in modeling this doesn't match an Authentic E3D V6 exactly, so I'm changing the title to reflect that. Please don't print out this model for a genuine E3D without modifying it to fit your nozzle. I'll research the differences and post a new design soon. _______________________________________________________________________ EDIT 3: My apologies! I posted GCode files instead of STLs in my previous revision. I've added the STLs back in, along with an additional STL for the metal stock "shroud and nozzle" assembly. This is not meant to be printed as-is; it's designed to help those modifying the provided files understand the assembly. Load the shroud/nozzle STL and fan duct STLs into your modeling software (I use Blender) to see how they fit together. _______________________________________________________________________ EDIT 2: I've revised the Fan part design, adjusting the cooling nozzles to direct airflow further from the hotend nozzle. This should prevent clogging issues. I've posted three modified Part Fan Mount designs: Full Circle, Half Circle, and Crescent. All have the nozzles angled lower for improved airflow. _______________________________________________________________________ I combined MrGlenDale's and Jtron's designs to create this model. Their original works are: - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4114164 - MrGlendale's TronXY X5SA V6 Mount using stock parts - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4221500 - Jtron's X5SA Upgraded Part Cooler - 5015 Blower Mount My modifications include: - Base Mount: A slight structural change to accommodate part cooling fan screws. - Clamp: Modified the bottom to direct more airflow away from the hotend. - 5015 Fan Mount: Structural changes to align cooling nozzles with the hotend position, and slight adjustments to mounting screw locations. When assembling: - Attach the hotend cooling fan to the Clamp (2 or 4 M3 18mm or 20mm screws and nuts; depending on the fan model used). Tighten fully. - Insert M3 & M5 nuts into their respective locations (2 M5 nuts for the clamp, 2 M3 nuts for the Stock Level Sensor, and 1 M3 nut for the fan mount). - Bolt in the base to the stock plate as shown (2 M3 10mm and 1 M3 6mm screws). Tighten fully. - Attach the Fan Mount (2 M3 10mm screws and 1 additional M3 nut) as shown. Do not fully tighten yet. - Place the hotend in the mount and check the level/height of the fan assembly. It should be above the hotend nozzle and level. Once plumb, tighten the fan mount screws/nuts fully (note: do not drop the hotend....). - Attach the Stock Level sensor (2 M3 20mm screws). Do not fully tighten yet. - Mount the hotend, routing wires between the sensor and base plate. - Attach the Clamp (2 M5 20mm screws). Tighten fully. - Adjust the level sensor to approximately 2mm above the hotend nozzle tip and tighten the sensor screws fully. - Attach the Part Cooling Fan (2 M5 24mm screws and nuts; depending on the fan model used). Tighten fully. My Bill of Materials: - 8 - M3 Nuts - 4 - M5 Nuts - 1 - M3 6mm Cap Head Screw - 4 - M3 10mm Cap Head Screws - 4 - M3 18mm Cap Head Screws - 2 - M3 20mm Cap Head Screws - 2 - M5 20mm Cap Head Screws - 2 - M5 24mm Cap Head Screws Your individual setup may require different parts, so be sure to check before printing.
