Tronxy X5SA CoreXY Automated Belt Tensioner
thingiverse
After making the [Automated Belt Tensioner](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4740287) from [MakeDE](https://www.thingiverse.com/MakeDE) I noticed that it doesn't quite fit on my Tronxy X5SA (no Pro, no 2E). There were offsets in height, so the new belt tensioner was to high relative to the belts. The CoreXY belts and idler pulleys etc are still original stock equipment, so I guess the [Automated Belt Tensioner](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4740287) from [MakeDE](https://www.thingiverse.com/MakeDE) was designed for the X5SA Pro. Maybe the twin idler pulley mounts are different between Pro and non-Pro versions and causing the mentioned offsets. Since I like the concept of this belt tensioner I remixed it to fit on my X5SA. See [How I Designed This](#How%20I%20Designed%20This) section below for further details. For additional information please refer to the original description [Automated Belt Tensioner](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4740287) from [MakeDE](https://www.thingiverse.com/MakeDE). Instead of printed idler pulleys and additional bearings, I used these aluminium idler pulleys: https://www.amazon.de/3Dman-Toothless-Aluminum-Timing-Printer/dp/B08L3KPQVK As tension spring I used one of those: https://www.amazon.de/B34153-Sortimentskasten-Federn-verzinkt-200-teilig/dp/B009T1OTBM In the [Videos section](#Videos) below or in this [Youtube playlist](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF8u0YakFg0__-Z1e5_21xrWd28Vv3IMC) you can see this thing at work.
