When assembling my Tronxy X5s, I was unimpressed by the original Z-axis bearings provided. In response, I conceptualized and 3D printed a custom replacement system. The new bearing features a split design, allowing for easy installation of the sleeve over it; it's then secured with two M3 screws and nuts. For my build, I chose to print the bushing in PLA, while opting for PETG on the sleeve; however, both materials are suitable options. Additionally, there's a compact variant where an IGUS RJ4JP-01-08 bearing sits atop the split design, and both components are securely held and tightened by the sleeve itself. This modification caters to those who prefer not to use PLA bushings.
