thingiverse
Z-axis optimization for the Tronxy X5S includes: Conversion to single-Z drive Distance of the Z-guides increased Increased distance between the bearing guides Required materials are: 8x LM8UU bearings 40 (24 also suffice) M3 x10 or x12 screws 10x M4 x12 or x16 screws 10x M4 nuts (not self-locking) 4x bearings from the supplied pulleys 2x GT2 Pulley with 40 teeth (even printed ones work fine) about 20 cm 5mm steel shaft (as axles in the lower bearing blocks) 1x GT2 belt closed 1210mm or 1220mm The pressure bed rail and the top rail are needed twice each. At the bottom of the track, there's a left and right one, which you only need once. Total printing time at 100mm/s, 0.2 layer height, and 0.4 nozzle was about 55 hours. But it's really worth it. The housing for the LM8UU bearings is deliberately quite narrow and probably needs to be ground down or adjusted slightly. I have screwed a 12mm MDF plate under my Tronxy. It stabilizes the printer and can be optimally used as a mounting plate for the power supply unit or the motor mount. There's a new bracket for the Z-engine (V2). This offers the possibility to use two deflection rollers (GT2 6mm smooth), should the required force on the drive pulley be too large and skip the belt.
