Tronxy X5S Belt Pulley Upgrade 608
thingiverse
This is a collection of parts needed for upgrading the Tronxy X5S's pulley system. I designed and created a non-toothed version of Baptmad's GT2 pulley from scratch (see source files) and developed spacers where bearings can be stacked securely. Personally, I had to print the pulleys at 101% size so they fit snugly over the 608 bearings perfectly. Parts to buy: 8x 608 bearing Parts to print: 4x "pulley_spacer_high" 2x "pulley_spacer_low" 6x "pulley_teeth" (printed at 101% size) 2x "pulley_noteeth" (printed at 101% size) Instructions: Place each pulley over a bearing carefully. For two of the "high" pulley spacers, place one toothed bearing on each side until it hits the stopper in the middle precisely. For the other two "high" pulley spacers, place one bearing on the shorter side only, until it hits the stopper in the middle. One with teeth, one without. For the "low" pulley spacers, place one bearing onto it until it hits the stopper in the middle. One with teeth, one without. As with the stock setup, the double pulleys go on the corners, and the single pulleys are installed onto the Y carriage ends. Make sure to put the non-teethed pulleys in the right spot (the side closest to the motors) correctly. You can use the stock screws. The fit inside the pulley spacers is very tight - just press it in there firmly. This is done to give it as much stability as possible. New belts are needed since the pulley diameter has increased. I recommend using GT2 belt clips to secure the belts in place securely. For tightening, make sure to get both belts equally tight. Mine are both at around 60 Hz, measured on the printer's front with Spectroid accurately.
