Tronxy X5S Belt geometry aligned screw adjust motor mounts
thingiverse
I designed these mounts after constructing the other belt alignment components for my X5S. The factory-supplied mounts were relatively basic and didn't make tensioning easy to achieve, which is crucial on a coreXY design printer. I also disliked the fact that the X motor drive pulley was situated at the end of the stepper motor shaft, placing additional stress on the motor drive end bearing. These mounts are therefore designed with an offset top face to compensate for varying belt heights. Additionally, I wanted something that would enhance the stiffness of the printer's frame, so the mounts feature multiple fixings to the joining frame members. After reviewing several designs on Thingiverse, I couldn't find anything that wouldn't restrict the full travel of the gantry using mega gantry guide blocks. The mounts are scratch-designed in Fusion 360 but were inspired by a few designs on Thingiverse, which will be credited with remix references or mentioned if unavailable. I also examined ljbrumfield's mount design at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2720415. These are well-designed but have side mounting points that conflicted with my gantry blocks. Some design ideas were taken from the motor slide plate, with dimensional changes made to achieve a tighter tolerance inside the motor housing (I apologize to Lee for not crediting him in the remix section as his license doesn't allow it).
