TronXY X5S Bed Sensor Extender v3
thingiverse
This Z endstop switch mount for the TronXY X5S moves the standard endstop switch directly onto the actual print bed, eliminating reliance on a proxy provided by the original adjustable M3 screw. With this arrangement, swapping out the bed no longer requires recalibrating because the switch is always triggered by the top of the bed, not some fixed position under the carriage. The V3 version features a distance specifically designed for a Volcano hotend (longer than standard), with approximately 39 mm vertical clearance between the underside of the outer rails and the print bed. A new update in 2020 has introduced Version 3, which boasts better stability and more precise adjustment. To complete this project, you will need to acquire: - Obsolete V2 items: an M4 screw, a T-nut for attaching it to the frame, and a wooden screw measuring 3 mm x 16 mm (depending on your setup). - V3 requirements include an M4 screw and T-nut, along with an M3 screw for adjustment. Be sure to verify that no collisions occur between the rear section and the moving platform or rollers when mounting this switch. It should be positioned just outside the frame, with only the switch extending into the print bed.
