This is a remake of this Tronxy X1 shroud: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2756939 The original design fits snugly on the stock extruder housing but fails to direct air effectively at the part, with most of the airflow directed straight at the nozzle instead. Moreover, the wall thickness is compromised, consisting only of a single layer for part of the duct. I made significant modifications to enhance the angle, which now ensures that air hits the part squarely and only grazes the nozzle. Additionally, I revised the mounting hole for the nut securing the fan screw for improved stability. This redesigned shroud is specifically intended to be mounted on the left side of the X5S extruder cage in the top two holes when the extruder cage is positioned as low as possible. To accommodate users who employ alternative sensor configurations, this design does not include mounting holes for the stock end-stop sensor. I opted for TMC2130s for sensorless homing and now home to the right side of the X carriage instead. Before printing, ensure that the print bed has been rotated 180° along the X-axis. UPDATE: I have updated this design to include versions suitable for both sides of the hot end. The angled version is no longer supported as it failed to provide any noticeable benefits.
