Tronxy X5 motherboard case with 40mm fan
thingiverse
I needed an enclosure that would protect and conceal the main board on my printer. Unhappy with what I found, I created my own custom design. To put it together, you will need 4x 40mm M3 bolts. By inserting them from the rear of the acrylic mounting plate, through the included 4mm spacer, through the board, and securing with an m4 nyloc nut, there will be enough thread left to slide the case up, allowing you to secure it with 4x m3 nuts and washers. This design ensures that if the case needs to be removed, the mother board remains securely in place. The enclosure is designed to accommodate a 40mm PC fan centered on the board. Tolerances are tight, so by following these instructions carefully, you will achieve a perfect fit.
