I designed this carriage plate with the exact dimensions as the standard carriage in mind, making it a seamless replacement for my part. After discovering that the bearing carriers had split within two weeks of use, I knew I needed a more reliable solution. While other designs were circulating online, I found them to be relatively inaccurate, which is why I opted to create something better. The y-axis carriers boast rugged belt anchors, providing a more secure hold and reducing the risk of damage. The 4mm holes on top are specifically designed for installing 4mm x 0.07mm pitch heli-coils, which significantly outlast self-tapping screws in terms of service life. To further mitigate warping, I added sticky back heat reflecting foil to the underside of the extruder carrier. This simple modification has proven to be incredibly effective, working flawlessly in practice.
