This is a quick make to enhance the enhancer kit provided by wbanw.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2981071

I stumbled on these minor issues and enhancements while making the above mentioned kit

https://www.thingiverse.com/make:588144

The first thing is a plate for the lower side of the tronxy bed mount. It is ment to make it easier to zip tie both parts and to provide structural counterpart as the original design allows to "elbow" the end upwards a little, even with full enforced zip ties.

Of course you need to print this twice. One for each bed arm.

The second thing included is a little spacer to avoid a nut mess to get the z belt tensioner to the right height. It does not anything else but IMHO looks a little better.

As I said it is a quick and dirty make. I included the FreeCAD source files, so you can adapt/enhance/redesign them as you like.

Update #1 in 2020: Since I recently broke the right display mount, I redesigned a three part replacement of the mount. The new mounts include the display spacers required for this dual lead screw conversion, so it is not required to print the ones from the original upgrade kit.

The files are included here, but just in case you want a version without spacers you will find them in a separate thing I made: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4610045

Update #2 in 2020: I replaced the old "blow on the hotend which is protected with kapton tape crap" fan mount and added a proper fan ufo duct. I included the file here, but also a link to the fan duct project:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4620140

If you want to mount an ATX power supply to your Tronxy X5 you can use my ATX mount: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3420536

I also designed a matching raspberry pi mount: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3422766

Here some additional things I added:

Dual Spool holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3362785
Dual Filament Guide: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3445451

Improved Y End Stop Mount which fixes the crappy clamp the printer got delivered with: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3975995

Happy Printing

Print Settings

Printer:

Anet A8

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

42%

Filament: Janbex PLA Black

Notes:

I know 42% is quite alot, but since I used PLA I wanted to get at least a little more temperature resistance by using more material.
I possible you should use ABS for all parts used near the print bed

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
