Tronxy X3 or X3a Bed upgrade (double remix) and new y - tensioner flipped
thingiverse
This y-tensioner part is designed specifically for use with the Tronxy X3A bed upgrade parts, working seamlessly with the carriage and end cap, as well as the thumb handle from IDig3D's upgraded y-tensioner (thingiverse.com/thing:2021999). This part has been crafted to work in conjunction with the bed upgrade kit (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2714569), providing an on-the-fly adjustment capacity, just like IDig3D designed into his parts. Unlike other y-tensioners paired with the bed upgrade kit, this tensioner offers a dynamic way of adjusting to your liking. This part utilizes the original M4 8mm screws and T-nuts, specifically designed for use with kencam's rod holders (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2185364). The Bed upgrade has been modified from Thundrfuk's remix (thingiverse.com/thing:2714569) of kencam's original bed part (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2185364), aiming to center the belt mounting position, minimizing vibration when pulling. The belt mounting hooks have been elongated to accommodate for the new flipped position of the motor and pulley. When using the original length 6mm wide belt with my y-motor mount flipped for this upgrade (thingiverse.com/thing:2765629) and mounting the motor on the inside of the frame, you should use the Y-end stop. However, this causes the bed not to go as far back as it did originally, limiting your printing area in the center. I haven't adjusted the settings in the black box or repeater host yet, but there must be adjustments for this issue somewhere. If you'd like to avoid this limitation, consider buying a longer belt and keeping the motor on the outside of the frame. This would allow you to use Thundrfuk's end stop from his parts kit (thingiverse.com/thing:2714569). This y-end stop was designed specifically for use with the original M4 8mm screws and T-nuts. **OFFSET SOLVED**: To adjust the "Home Offset" on your printer, simply issue a few G-code commands while connected to the printer. In the manual control tab, type (M206 Y10), setting the home offset for the Y axis at 10mm. You may also want to change the X value; I did, as my head wasn't quite centered when I clicked home. Simply add M206 X15 and save your new settings with M500. Finally, check your new home offsets with the command M503.
