Well after the plate wobble on my x3a, I'd had enough. I wanted a quick easy fix for my x3, so I looked at my CNC router and decided to beef up the 3D printer. There are many printed plastic ones with round bars and even more plastic print outs, but I wanted something quick and easy. So an order was placed to "We do 3D printing" and next day we tackled the printer and away we went with two more rails using the existing castor wheels and two more from my spares box. The end result was done and what a difference! I'm now going to print a fan cover with 18mm sensor and see how it goes. Next, I'll print these 2020 Cable Clips by J-Max. First, measure your bed size - mine was 220 x 220mm. Find the center at 110mm using a set square and mark off the adjustable wheel hole at 70mm (note: this measurement is for the eccentric cam; if no cam, adjust accordingly). Then measure back 40mm and draw a line the full length of the bed as per picture 4 - this is where the castors will go. Do the same on the other side and drill holes accordingly. Fit the 90deg blocks and even it all up, then make a wooden or plastic caster size bung and fit it in back left to hit the microswitch on the Y axis. One firm bed! Note: measure the bed first to find the center, in case of size difference.
