Tronxy X1 Fan Shroud

Tronxy X1 Fan Shroud

The simple solution is a replacement shroud/mount that replaces the original black metal heatsink fan holder. This one slides right over the heatsink without needing any screws to attach it to your printer, but you will need to remove the hot end from the X axis first. It's designed to fit the standard 40x40 fan, and I'm pretty sure it would work with any other fan of that size. I used M3 bolts just like before, only this time I left off the nuts. This upgrade keeps the fan from blowing cool air directly onto the hot end, which makes a big difference in performance. After installing this new shroud, my hot end started heating up faster and had less variation in temperature during prints, resulting in much better results overall.
