Tronxy X1 8mm Z-Nut Adapter
thingiverse
I ordered my Tronxy Kit from Gearbest, but it was missing a crucial part - the 5mm Brassnut. After conducting a thorough search, I realized that this specific nut is nowhere to be found for purchase, so I took matters into my own hands and designed a custom plate to accommodate the standard 8mm nut and an M8 rod. In addition to solving the nut problem, I also made some adjustments to the railaxes to eliminate any wobble that was present with the original mount. The fit is incredibly strong, and it's clear that this modification has significantly improved the overall stability of my 3D printer. If you decide to build this yourself, be aware that there are distinct differences in the Z-axis steps/mm configuration. To make things easier, I used Repetierhost to update the firmware settings without any hassle. However, keep in mind that you'll also need a different coupler for the stepper motor - specifically one that converts an 8mm to 5mm connection.
