The factory-installed hotend on my D01 model printer is a low-cost replica of the Creality style design. I quickly replaced it with a high-quality Micro-Swiss unit, which performs exceptionally well but has a 3mm longer profile. To accommodate this change, I created a couple of makeshift spacers to compensate for the added length. By removing the two screws on top of the Z spacer, you can insert your preferred spacer and secure it in place using longer screws - temporarily, I'm utilizing the ones from the stock hotend until I acquire the proper replacements. The spacer itself is 5mm thick; simply adjust your slicer's Z scaling settings to produce different sizes as needed. Meanwhile, the tab serves a crucial function by holding the spacer in position while you tighten the screws securely.
