Daniel Simon, the vehicle designer for TRON: Legacy's 5th generation light cycle, incorporated elements from Syd Mead's original design such as the increasing length and speed of the cycle, and the canopy-free driver's seat. However, these features were removed in the original film due to technical limitations. The 5th generation light cycles are generated from a baton, with the rider leaping onto it in a specific posture. Designed in Solid Works 2012 and rendered in Keyshot 5.0.99, the light cycle measures 2820 mm in length, 1094 mm in width, and 1097 mm in height. More information can be found at Disney's TRON: Legacy vehicles page and Daniel Simon's personal website.
