Trombone: Fully Functioning

Trombone: Fully Functioning

FINALLY! A WORKING TROMBONE!!!!! All the components fit perfectly into each other like a standard trombone. It even uses a MOUTHPIECE THAT MATCHES! The trombone is smaller than most and the mouthpiece is small too! Thanks to Gernreich who created a special mouthpiece and built-in support for the inner-slide that made it possible to print a fully functional Trombone! Print Settings: Rafts: Yes Supports: It doesn't matter at all! Resolution: 0.15 or lower is best! Infill: 50% is okay, but 100% is highly recommended! Notes: To get the best results, it's recommended to print all of the trombone parts separately. Print the mouthpiece with at least 10 shells and 50% infill for maximum performance. Post-Printing: Making the Trombone: Fully Functioning's Sliding Smoother To make the sliding work more smoothly, it's essential to smooth out the inner-slide and apply slide lubricant. To smooth the inner-slide, move both slides back and forth until they're smooth or use sandpaper carefully. For lubricating, use trombone slide oil or vale oil for the best results. UPDATE: The Trombone: Fully Functioning is finally working! If all the components are printed at the recommended layers, it will function just like in the videos. Additionally, I'd love to hear any comments you have about the Trombone and take your suggestions into consideration for future upgrades! Special Thanks: I'd like to thank Gernreich for his incredible contributions to this project. He designed the inner-slide supports and created a brand-new mouthpiece that made it all possible!
