Trolling Motor Rudder
prusaprinters

I wanted a little rudder on my trolling motor, so that when I'm off-power I can still use the motor to steer. When you're on power, the motor works well to point you in the right direction. When you're off power, you have no control. They sell a similar kit for $40 but I figured I'd just make one.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

SeeMeCNC

Printer:

Rostock Max v3.2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

100%

Filament: Atomic PETG ultra matte black

Notes:

I CNC cut the rudder itself from 5mm baltic birch plywood and coated it with epoxy resin. You can CNC cut, laser cut, or even 3d print the rudder at 5mm thick and the brackets should work out fine. All hardware is 1/4" or #10 stainless.

Category: Sport & Outdoors
