Replacement Pound Coin Holder for Shopping Trolley. My first design is a very simple £ shaped object with a tongue that fits into the pound coin slot of a UK supermarket trolley. The lip makes it easy to push in and pull out, even on cold days with numb fingers or gloves, or when users have disabilities affecting their hands. I've tested this in a Morrisons trolley and it works perfectly. It's not the prettiest design, but it's functional. This could be useful for someone. The first thing I've designed and printed since getting my printer is done. I last used CAD software at secondary school, where we called it drawing with a pen and paper. With FREECAD, I plan to add a hole for attaching it to a keychain and an indentation for the thumb on the tongue.
