Troll Slayer
myminifactory
The challenge for this design was to craft a sword that assembles seamlessly without adhesives, combining both solid body modeling from Solidworks and organic modeling in Zbrush. The joints were designed to fit together effortlessly and hold the model together entirely glue-free. After I modeled the blade and hilt connections, Elliot Viles brought the skulls to life in Zbrush. Once he completed this task, I took the files and merged his organic components with my engineered parts using mesh mixer, creating a flawless union of two distinct disciplines. When the model was printed and assembled, it was beautifully finished by Catherine Wood, an expert member of MyMiniFactory.com's talented post-processing team.
