Trojan light cargo shuttle
thingiverse
The files for the hab unit are now uploaded. Still a work in progress, but there's plenty to get started with. I created this design some time ago, originally intended for laser cutting, but I've adapted it for 3D printing instead. It'll be a little while before I get my 3D printer up and running, so I'd love your feedback beforehand. There's still more work to do on it. It should be able to carry three full-sized GW cargo containers. The legs can be extended in various options. I've just added a filled cockpit option so you don't have to mess around trying to fit glass or paint the inside. The underside has sockets for plastic rods, which you can use to create the illusion of flight by attaching them to cargo containers on the ground (see attached picture). Please note that for the cockpit interiors, I printed it in resin for my laser-cut version and it worked well. Not sure how it will work out with filament. I've also added files for the laser-cut version, which is designed for a A2 layout and 4mm thick material. I'm currently working on a 3D-printed version of the hab block, but I've also added a laser-cut version that needs some additional details and gaps filling (green stuff or milliput should do nicely). For the cockpit windows, I use acetate, and for the rivets from plasticard, I use a leather hole punch. I've included a basic instruction PDF called Laser-Tag for the laser-cut parts, which highlights where some of the less obvious parts go.
