The Trojan 3D Extruder is made for high performance and long hassle-free life!! Compatible with i3, and typical 23x23mm x-carriage hole patterns. Very small footprint. Nema 14 Motor with fully printed 0.6 module gears but zero backlash!! Only 310 gr. fully assembled!! Less than a nema17 motor alone. An easy simple idler with no springs ED3 V6 or VOLCANO pack compatible Integrated fans for better cooling and no jam in all conditions Integrated JST micro plug for quick fan removal if service is required. All the supports already integrated in the design, just remove it easily after print. 2 parts main body for a very easy print and service Water Cooled hotend version coming soon!! How I Designed This There's a lot of extruders around, too big and heavy!!! So I decided to make a smaller one. I wanted an extruder that was easy to print and assemble. I designed the Trojan 3D Extruder with a small footprint and a simple idler mechanism. It's compatible with i3 and typical 23x23mm x-carriage hole patterns. The Nema 14 Motor has fully printed 0.6 module gears but zero backlash!! It's only 310 gr. fully assembled!! Less than a nema17 motor alone. Assembly tips 1) The Idler is in 2 parts, after printing just clean the pins and make them fit the small holes for alignment, then glue with super glue or normal UHU pla glue. 2) For the Hot-End Blower2 fan, you have to remove the original external case of the fan (Will post illustrated instructions soon). 3) Same apply to the Heat-Sink_cooler fan support, remove the external case from the 30mm fan and follow the same procedure as the Hot-End Blower. 4) The BodyPart need to be completed by adding the brass nuts, if you find some hole a bit too easy to fit just add some super glue, will work great. DO NOT PRINT THEM AT HIGH SPEED, YOU WILL GET JUST A BAD JOB!!!! As you can see from the uploaded pictures they come out very clean and neat, so is up to you to repeat the same job.
