sketchfab
Blind catfish reassembled from high-resolution X-ray CT scans. A detailed texture map was applied after carefully reconstructing the outer surface. This remarkable specimen originated from the Texas Memorial Museum collections housed at the University of Texas. Dr. Julian Humphries, utilizing the High Resolution X-ray CT facility at the University of Texas with approval from Dr. Dean Hendrickson, expertly scanned the specimen. Reuben Reyes successfully reconstructed the two-dimensional sliced images into a three-dimensional model and added an intricate texture map.
