trivase
thingiverse
This design draws inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4233279 - a project that lacked source code at the time of posting. The openSCAD file accompanying this work provides more insight, featuring modules such as sin_extrude(), which serves as an alternative to traditional linear extrusion. Instead of applying twist in a linear fashion from zero to one, sin_extrude() applies it sinusoidally, spanning from sin(0°) to sin(90°). The parabolic_extrude module operates on a similar principle, but employs an x*x ramp to transition from zero to one. Customization options within the design enable users to switch between linear, sinusoidal, and parabolic modes with ease. Additionally, a wall thickness option is available, allowing for vase mode by setting it to zero.
