The triskelion (triskele) symbol has been a prominent feature in many early cultures, with its earliest appearance recorded in Malta dating back to 4400-3600 BC. It also makes an appearance in Ireland's megalithic tomb of Newgrange within the astronomical calendar. Its meaning is subject to interpretation based on time and place, encompassing various themes such as life-death-rebirth, spirit-mind-body, mother-father-child, past-present-future, power-intellect-love, and creation-preservation-destruction. The triskelion is also believed to represent the three Celtic worlds: the spiritual realm, the present world, and the celestial sphere.
