V2 Updated to simplify and strengthen design matching remix posted features. Print power strip with "legs" attached directly to plate. I repurposed an old Tripp-lite 6-foot tall, 20A 24-port NEMA 5-15 server power strip designed for vertical installation in server cabinets to serve as a workbench power source, providing ample outlets for projects. The existing 120V - 20A circuit in that area made it the perfect opportunity to put this power strip to use. However, its original design suited server cabinets poorly in my garage setup, where space is limited. I opted to create wall clips to securely attach the power strip to the wall and make electrical ports easily accessible. For a 6-foot long power strip, mounting at least four clips along the length, screwed into studs, is recommended. Using standard 6 x 1-5/8 gold wood screws, I attached the clips to the wall. Once mounted, simply snap in the power strip with its edge clipping over the front for secure positioning and convenient access to electrical outlets.
