V2 Updated to simplify and strengthen the design similar to the remix posted. Print with the "legs" on plate.

I had an old Tripp-lite 6 foot tall, 20A 24 port NEMA 5-15 server power strip designed for vertical installation in server cabinets that I wanted to use for my work bench area to provide a LOT of power outlets for projects. Since I had a 120V - 20A circuit in that area, it was a good excuse to finally use it. However, vertical orientation is less than useful in a garage.

I decided to quickly build a set of wall clips that I can screw to the wall and then clip in the power strip to provide an abundance of electrical ports within easy reach. For a 6' power strip, I would recommend to print at least 4 clips and screw them in to studs along the length. I used standard 6 x 1-5/8 gold wood screws I had laying around.

Once the clips are mounted, just snap in the power strip with the edge clipping over the front.

Print instructions

Category: Office Summary

V2 Updated to simplify and strengthen the design similar to the remix posted.
