Tripod Vivitar VPT-120 Plate

This is a Vivitar VPT-120se tripod base plate replacement part and phone attachment in one convenient package. Designed specifically to work with 2-2mm thick magnets, I had some lying around that fit perfectly - 32mmx32mmx2mm to be exact. One is securely pressed into the middle of the base plate, while the other sticks firmly to the outside for a strong hold. My phone has a magnet hidden under its cover, which allows me to attach it to a mount in my car. With this setup, I can now set my phone on the mount and use the tripod to capture high-quality video footage. Feel free to explore different styles of magnets that will work with this design - as long as they're 2mm thick, you'll be good to go! I've included a Sketchup file for your convenience, so you can modify the phone attachment to fit whatever size magnet you choose or have on hand.
