I recently got my hands on a Celestron Nexstar 6SE, and after that, I started preparing a custom carrying case for the scope and its accessories using a Husky toolbox from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07546NKR8/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to store the tripod spreader piece. It can't stay attached to the tripod, and I definitely didn't want it bouncing around inside the case. So, I came up with a simple solution that involves using a bracket to secure it in place. This bracket is made from a printout that I designed specifically for this purpose. To attach the bracket to the toolbox, I used 3mm bolts and square nuts, which provide a snug fit and keep everything securely in place. The template file that comes with the design includes instructions on how to drill the blind mounting holes, making it easy to get started right away.
