Tripod removable mount for almost anything
thingiverse
I aimed to design a 1.2 to 5.8 GHz relay and affix it to a tripod. All the designs located here employed a nut inside the print for mounting on the tripod. However, I lacked this part and wasn't willing to purchase one either. So I tested if simply printing a hole and screwing it to the tripod would work, and it indeed did! You can utilize this design for numerous purposes; the removable portion features four screw holes to secure an object in place. Since I've included the FreeCAD file, you're free to modify it as desired – perhaps into a phone stand or something else. The movable component is somewhat loose, so if you wish for it to be tightly secured, feel free to reduce the inner radius slightly. The effectiveness of this adjustment will also depend on your nozzle size; I utilized a 0.4 mm nozzle in my design. I printed it with 30% infill to ensure strength, but you can experiment with 15% if desired – I'm confident that it will still function properly.
