I made a mistake and lost the plate that holds my camera tripod's screw, so I created another one to replace it. Having multiple plates for each camera is always a good idea, even if you don't lose the original. I used screws from http://www.ebay.com/itm/141737493634, which can be easily adjusted in the OpenSCAD file to fit different screws. Be aware that some dimensions might need tweaking due to tight fits and printer calibration. The design doesn't include a lock washer, so the screw is forced into place and won't fall unless you unscrew it yourself. The OpenSCAD file does provide provisions for printing with support, though, if you want to add one. There's a self-centering bevel on the back of the plate that should align itself when you screw it onto your camera. Use a 0.1mm print height to get the smoothest possible surface. Unfortunately, I don't have my tripod model number handy, so I've attached a picture instead. You can likely adapt this design for other tripods as well, just be sure to upload any remixes you make! Keep in mind that the code is a bit messy but gets the job done. The roundedCube module is also quite useful - it helps with Minkowski transforms and adds rounded edges to cubes. I've designed replacement feet for this same tripod too: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1284763 Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Sunhokey Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 30% minimum Notes: Print this upside-down so that the plate's surface in contact with your camera body is facing down on the print bed. Printed with MG Chemicals white PLA at 215 degC extrusion and 45 degC bed temperature, on green painter's tape. Use Elmer's purple school glue stick for improved adhesion. Perimeter and top/bottom thickness should be set to 0.8mm or higher.
