Late 17th – early 18th-century red unglazed earthenware. Unique tripod pot features a sturdy tubular pipkin handle perfect for cooking or preparing food. Archaeologists discovered the pot during extensive excavations outside Kalmar castle in the 1930s (Kalmar Slottsfjärd). Kalmar Slottsfjärd boasts one of Northern Europe's most impressive collections of complete and reconstructed ceramic pots and jugs made from this very material.\r\nPhotogrammetry expert Midori Åstrand uses Xenter 3D technology. The Swedish History Museum, Historiska, was responsible for scanning this object.
