Tripod Phone Clamp (v1)
thingiverse
Attach this compact gadget onto a standard tripod to stabilize your phone, perfect for capturing videos and photos without hand tremors. Compatible with most smartphones; share your results by posting a photo of your clamped phone on social media! Crafted using Autodesk Inventor 2013 (educational edition), this 3D printed accessory comprises three parts: the base, slide, and knob. Print without support at 0.2mm layer height and with about 10-15% infill in ABS. The original *.ipt files are included for customization. The required screws and nuts are standard imperial, fitting the tripod attachment. Insert two nuts into the slots followed by a screw to assemble the clamp. Attach rubber sheeting (0.2mm thick) to the pad and pad-slide using super glue, ensuring no glue touches the phone's contact area. Securely clamp the workpiece for easier alignment. The slide's fork enables your phone to face in that direction while still accessing the camera button - tested with an iPhone, but should accommodate other phones as well.
