Tripod Pedestal Fan
thingiverse
These are parts to create a stylish pedestal for a cheap fan. The fan I used is a Black and Decker BFSR18B, but I'm sure the designs can easily be tweaked for whatever fan you're using. The legs are wooden and for me measure 1.75 x 1.75 x 46 in. I cut the bottom foot or so into rounds to achieve the look I was going for. The "leg cover' part hides that transition. The sliding leg clamps and turnbuckles allow you to adjust the fan's height, most of the weight rests on the top hub and transfers into the legs there. The bottom hub really only serves to hold the legs together and to create the industrial style. The bottom hub and leg clamps are print in place and are best printed with a dissolvable support material. I would recommend also using dissolvable material if you are going to support the turnbuckles because the threads can be difficult to clean out.
