Tripod MX 1000 Quick Release Plate
thingiverse
Have you ever had that good ol' buddy who says "Hey man, can I borrow your Quick-Puck for just a minute?" and then promptly breaks his own? So, you hand him yours with the understanding that he's already broken his. Those minutes tick by, and you watch from afar as he puts his gear away and leaves without a care in the world. The next day, you approach him with a straightforward question: "Hey man, can I get my Puck back?" His response? "I handed it right back to you bro!" The kind of "bro" who'll argue with a brick wall - good luck getting it back. You must be like me; you need the Puck within two hours and happen to own a 3D printer, just in time. This is a work-in-progress (WIP). This design fits perfectly on the MX1000 Tripod. The spring lock that secures the Quick Release part is still a work in progress. However, this design works flawlessly even without it. All I had to do was attach a 1/4-20 bolt and it held my Canon Rebel XTi securely. I'm not too familiar with the licensing agreement, but feel free to modify this design to perfection if you have access to the MX1000 Tripod or something similar. I printed mine at 220C, with a print speed of 60mm/s - a job that takes less than 32 minutes to complete.
