Tripod mounting plate with dual pipe clamp
thingiverse
This OpenSCAD script generates a versatile, 3-5 part hinged clamp, ideal for attaching objects to pipes or round bars such as handlebars, pencils, and canes. It also includes a tripod mount using lug washer and bolt hardware from the Makerbot Cyclops 3D scanner kit. The script is highly parametric but requires some premade .stl files for now, sized for 18mm diameter wooden dowel and a Kendo-s200 tripod. Mouse ears can be added to the base part easily by changing a boolean control variable. It's currently used in a wireless sensor network base-station design. The script allows clamps to be laid flat for easier manufacturing and has cylindrical cutouts on clamps and the base for improved assembly with filament pieces. It's at version 0.3, with previous versions allowing updates and adding features.
