Tripod mount (for older tripods)
thingiverse
This is a homemade tripod mount for older tripods of all kinds. Mine happens to be an Ambico model, but it should work with any camera or device that has the standard screw hole on its bottom. After buying a quirky tripod at a garage sale and discovering there were no working mounts available for it, I took matters into my own hands and made one myself. Print Settings * Printer: Prusa i3 FolgerTech * Rafts: None used * Supports: Irrelevant, actually – this mount turned out solid without them! * Resolution: 0.2 mm precision * Infill: Honeycomb pattern at a density of 10% Design Notes * Took just 26 minutes to complete using HATCHBOX PLA red filaments and my printer set at 185 degrees Celsius. Post-Printing Clean Up * Removed excess plastic debris – in this case, hanging down because I hadn't employed any supports initially. Used pliers for easy removal! How I Designed This Design: I opted for Sketchup to conceptualize the design. After it was finalized, I exported the file as a standard STL (stereolithography) model for 3D printing purposes.
