Tripod Folding MagicMount
thingiverse
I Decided To Create My Own MagicMount Base, Since The Original One Had Lost Its Adhesive Grip. This Was Actually My First Foray Into Using Fusion 360, And I Thought It Would Be Too Challenging To Tackle The Ball Adapter Component Right Off The Bat. So I Focused On Designing The Housing For The Magnets, Combining It With A Modified Phone Arm From That Tripod Folding Thing. There Are A Few Imperfections In This Project, But I'm Calling It Good Enough For Now. Be Aware That The MagicMount Cover Is Extremely Tight And Doesn't Fit Perfectly Onto The Case, Which Can Cause Some Alignment Issues With The Holding Tabs. On The Bright Side, It Does Seem Very Stable Overall. To Assemble This Custom Magnet Housing, Simply Use The Four Screws That You'll Extract From The MagicMount Assembly When You're Releasing The Magnets From Their Flex Housing To Secure Them In Place Within The Case.
