Tripod Coin Holder

Tripod Coin Holder

thingiverse

This is a coin holder that can snap onto a 1" leg of a tripod. I came up with this idea because I always had a coin on me to loosen and tighten my tripod head's foot to my camera, and it seemed like a hassle to carry around. So, I thought it would be nice to have a way to attach the coin to the tripod itself, making it unnecessary for me to carry the coin everywhere. I printed this design on my Printrbot Simple Metal and it worked perfectly, but I had to carefully remove some plastic with a sharp blade because the coin holding arm was fused to the coin slot. Once I made that adjustment, everything functioned as intended. I'll look into improving the design when I have more time. How I Designed This Designed in Sketchup I designed this in Google Sketchup and used an STL exporter to convert it into a file that my 3D printer could read.
