Tripod adapter 1/4-20 to 3/8" thread

This can be used to mount a 3/8" camera onto more common 1/4-20 UNC tripod threads with ease. Alternatively, it serves as a means to get high-quality 1/4-20 threads into models printed at lower resolutions or with the thread printed on its side. Three versions have been designed, each featuring unique adaptations. One has a circular flange with a coin slot, another boasts a 16mm hex flange, and an embedded version features a screwdriver slot. The embedded design sits comfortably inside the 3/8 thread. Each adaptation is available in two tolerances for the 3/8 thread: Class 1A (slightly looser) and Class 2A (slightly tighter). It's recommended to start with the Class 2A version and reprint if it proves too tight. If neither option works, slicer functions can assist - specifically, "horizontal size compensation" in Simplify3D, "Horizontal Size Expansion" in Cura, or "XY Compensation" in Slic3r. Print these adaptations without supports, with the thread standing upright. Printing them solid is highly recommended. To avoid complications with stringing or blobs clogging the threads, print one at a time and use a layer height of 0.15mm or less. For heavy cameras, it's advised to invest in metal versions rather than relying on these plastic adaptations.
