I wanted a small low profile motorized stand for the Triple Gear. The stand was designed around a micro right angle drive I found on Amazon. The motor is rated for 6V but runs fine on a 5V usb adapter. The end was cut off an old usb cord and the wires were soldered to the motor leads. Test both ways, I had to solder the red wire +5V to the negative of the motor. A small notch for the wire was made with dykes and a small round file. The motor is held in place with a piece of clear tape. The gears were sprayed with Dupont teflon spray to make them run smoother. If the gears get stuck while they are turning, try flipping them over. Mine work well on one side only. The last few millimeters of the axle will need to be cleaned up before it will fit on the drive shaft. I used a drill bit and a hobby knife. The hole is keyed to fit the shaft, though it is hard to see. I gently tap it on the axle with the handle of a screwdriver. This filament is stunning and it can be printed at normal PLA settings, speed 50mm/per sec, 200 deg end, 60 deg bed. Worm gear settings Same as the top and bottom, but a brim was used to keep it from tipping over.
