triple gear Extruder with NEMA 14 (V2.0)
thingiverse
RepRap extruder with NEMA14 stepmotor. It's lightweight and cost-effective to build. My actual step motor is merely 25mm deep (extremely compact), and I only print one job at a rate of 150m/s. The gear ratio is 15:1, utilizing the Marlin_config setting of 1881 steps per unit mm. You will need: Three bearings measuring 16x8x5 (Block/filament gripper) Two bearings measuring 8x3x4 (middle gear) A heat sink, if you're using a very small motor, as mine starts skipping at temperatures above 65 C Some nuts and bolts to secure everything in place You can find a video demonstrating the build process at https://youtu.be/BVO7R3UbIoM. The gear configuration is a modified version of Paste Extruder - 10 cc V2.1 - Extrudeuse a pâte, created by Shapescribe and published on December 14, 2014. You can access the original design on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:591849.
