TRIPLE extruder for Creality-style extruder brackets
thingiverse
Thingiverse is broken as always so this may not end up coming out properly, so I'll keep it short. This is a hacked together extension for the Creality-standard stock extruder bracket included on models like the CR-10, Ender 2 + 3, and (presumably) beyond. This is designed to hold three direct-drive extruders in close proximity along. The extruder arm model is unchanged from the original but has been included for completeness. Please be warned that this modification adds significant weight to the Z gantry. An upgrade to a torquier Z stepper motor may be required in order to prevent... gravitational backlash? The original calls for the use of U624ZZ bearings and 36T straight-cut drive gears, as per the original Creality specifications. I didn't have any on hand so I used V623s and 40T gears, and as such this is a little bit of a tight fit. Unfortunately a hobbed Mk8 gear was too small for the job. It's possible a combination of a Mk8 gear and a U624 bearing will fare better. Experiment, and buy supplies in bulk lots. The bright pink washers on top of the idler bearings are bright pink aluminium washers. I don't remember where the extruder knobs came from and I don't have the energy to find out right now. https://www.patreon.com/agenworx
