UPD2: It appears that cooling alone is insufficient when two extruders are operating at 240 degrees Celsius, as the screws become excessively hot. UPD1: A fan and E3D components have been assembled together. The assembly is now secured with M3 screws. The closed bottom part has been removed to prevent having to completely remove rods from the printer during assembly. Easier removal of the E3D v6 mount has been achieved by making it screw-mounted. The fan can now be slid into place without requiring screws. The upper holder for the E3D v6 is also screw-mounted, as frequent removal is necessary. A reduction in fillet and an increase in chamfer have been implemented. Bug fixes have been made. Upon receiving the Chimera head, the original carriage was discovered. While innovative, it had some flaws according to my opinion. A remix of the design was quickly undertaken. Changes include: Increased holes for single extruder use – physical objects do not fit into precision holes. The mount for a single extruder has been replaced due to difficulties encountered while installing a Bowden extruder into closed parts. A clamp has been added to secure M3 screws on this mount. The thin part between bearings has been removed, as it is deemed unnecessary. The filled bottom has been eliminated, resulting in an unsticky model. Overhangs on the belt holder part have been removed, as they are considered unusual. The capacitive sensor mount has been removed, as a servo is being used instead.
