My adjustable backdrop support system needs extra stability and I'm hesitant to crank up the friction, so instead, I've come up with a simple accessory that attaches directly to the chains to prevent accidental drops. A more reliable fix was needed after noticing that the initial screws were positioned too close together. All you need is some standard 1/4"-20 hardware: two screw/bolt combinations that are at least 1.5 inches long, four washers, and two nuts. Then just attach these components to your Varipole as desired. I recommend placing the top section against something solid, such as the handle of your Varipole for added stability.
