Trinus Spool Holder and Filament Guide

thingiverse

A Customized Spool Holder and Filament Guide for the Kodama Trinus Printer. To use with spools up to 750mm in width, an updated version is now available, expanding upon the original design that supported 650mm wide spools. The new model can be printed directly on the Trinus printer itself. Feedback from users has led to the creation of a specialized STL file for those who utilize Pango as their slicer software. This revised model features a 45-degree rotation and is 5mm shorter in height, making it more suitable for use with Pango. A further update introduces a larger arm design capable of accommodating spools up to 750mm in width. While this version has not yet been printed by the creator, feedback is requested regarding infill density and performance when printing with spools weighing up to 2kg or more. Users are encouraged to share their print results and report any issues that may arise. Print Settings: Printer: Trinus Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 30% Notes: The creator has successfully printed this design in PLA on their Trinus printer using Simplify 3D to slice the model with a 30% fast Honeycomb infill pattern. For a 1kg spool of filament, this configuration worked well without noticeable bending. However, for users who remain skeptical about the design's performance, it is recommended to use PETG or increase the infill percentage. A minimum of three perimeter shells is also suggested.
