Trinus Extruder Arm

Trinus Extruder Arm

After investing hundreds of hours in printing on the Trinus, I encountered a critical issue - the extruder quick release arm gave out, so I engineered this custom replacement from scratch. Utilizing the bearing and screws directly from the original, no additional parts were required to get it up and running. Design Process: I carefully scanned the broken piece using a flatbed printer/scanner, then imported the scan into Fusion360 for meticulous tracing. Extruding the design, I scaled it to precise dimensions, sketched in some text, and extruded it once more. Once complete, I exported the file and printed it out on my ABS material printer. Finally, I installed the new piece on the Trinus with ease. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: No rafts were used in this project. Supports: Supports were carefully added to ensure a smooth print. Resolution: The resolution was set at 0.2mm for optimal quality. Infill: A solid infill of 40% was chosen for maximum strength and durability. Material: The project was printed using high-quality ABS material.
