Trinus Cable Relief
thingiverse
I've got a Kodama Trinus printer - and it's fantastic, but needs some assistance in several areas. Particularly, the print head cabling urgently requires stress relief near the processor board. I printed another cable support design on Thingiverse (Afro3dPrinter's design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2072628), but it just wasn't stiff enough for my taste - so here's my significantly beefier take on things. This design is just short enough to print on a Trinus, if you orient it diagonally on the print bed. It installs between the processor and the two Z-axis linear actuators (just snap it in place, without needing to unscrew or loosen anything), with the little lobes on its ends facing down and hooking onto two of the bolts that attach the processor to the actuators. Features Under Development: 1) This design features two holes so you could zip-tie the cabling to it - but I'm not yet convinced they're really necessary. 2) I've now beveled the edges of the semi-cylinder that hold the cabling (out of an abundance of caution w.r.t. fraying the cables). Post-Printing Hard at work How I Designed This How it'll print - upside-down from how you'll use it.
