Trinocular Microscope Phototube Adapter Plate
cults3d
Fits Bausch and Lomb, Cambridge Instruments, and Leica branded Galen 3 microscope trinocular heads. I have seen similar looking heads on certain Olympus, Nikon, Swift, Carlsan, Wolfe, Ampscope, Leitz, Omax, and other Microscopes so it seems to be a common casting. The original plate on my Microscope had only a 28.5mm fitting, not easy to adapt phototubes to and not that sturdy causing blurry images from vibration. This new plate has a 37mm hole which fits the L coupler from Diagnostic Instruments for their hrd100-nik lenses, probably others too. I used qt. 4 , #6-32x2in machine bolts, and had to grind down the width of the heads to fit in the recesses. Figured someday I'd cut them to length and use pretty cap nuts.
